Haub Law Dean Horace Anderson Named to Prestigious 2024 Trailblazers in Education List

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 鶹ý is proud to announce that Dean Horace E. Anderson Jr. was named to the 鶹ý2024 Trailblazers in Education鶹ý list published by City & State New York magazine. The list recognizes 鶹ý100 professionals who are keeping New York at the fast-paced forefront of higher education" and includes presidents, professors and provosts, lobbyists, lawyers, nonprofit entrepreneurs, advocates, and others who are shaping the future of education.

Horace E. Anderson Jr. is the ninth dean of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 鶹ý, appointed in December 2019. Prior to this appointment, Dean Anderson had been serving as Haub Law鶹ýs interim dean. Of Dean Anderson, the publication notes that, 鶹ýUnder Horace E. Anderson Jr., 鶹ý鶹ýs Elisabeth Haub School of Law has increased its enrollment, donations, full-time faculty and partnerships with leading universities worldwide. Anderson, an intellectual property and technology law specialist who joined the faculty in 2004, recently established the Sustainable Business Law Hub, a research incubator devoted to global sustainability. The school now boasts the nation鶹ýs top-ranked environmental law program, according to U.S. News & World Report. Anderson also strengthened social justice and community ties through the new Pace Access to Justice Project.鶹ý

On September 5, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 鶹ý hosted the twelfth annual Future Environmental Law Professors Workshop. The workshop is designed for law students and graduates considering or planning careers as legal academics in environmental law broadly defined. The workshop included an informational panel, mock interviews, and practice job talks. In addition, this year Professor Rachel Rothschild, recipient of the 2025 Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award, delivered the keynote lunch address.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 鶹ý is proud to announce that Margot Pollans, Professor of Law at Pace Haub Law and Noa Ben-Asher, Professor of Law at St. John鶹ýs University School of Law have been selected as 2025 Dukeminier Awards Winners for their article, , 2024 Utah L. Rev. 763 (2024).
