
CCAR鶹ýs Heather Novak a Panelist at Campus Contact鶹ýs Civic Learning Week

Heather Novak, MPA, director of 鶹ý鶹ýs Center for Community Action and Research and adjunct associate professor, Political Science, was a panelist and presenter, as part of 鶹ýCreating Civic Cultures on Every Campus,鶹ý Campus Compact鶹ýs Civic Learning Week showcasing institutions reimagining civic education for all students.
The panel consisted of individuals from a selection of institutions who each demonstrated how civic learning can be woven into the fabric of every student's educational journey.
Pace has been recognized as a leader in requiring civic inquiry and engagement as part of its degree requirements for all students, and as part of this panel, Novak discussed the university鶹ýs 2002 groundbreaking Civic Engagement and Public Value undergraduate core requirement with over 90 attendees during this event held from March 11-14.
